Sergey Glukhov

After completing his education at the Social and Economic Department of Oriental Studies at Moscow University, Sergey Glukhov began his career in various research centers where he focused on studying the economies of Middle Eastern countries. During this time, Glukhov demonstrated proficiency in utilizing analytical tools such as analysis of variance, multivariate analysis, and principal components.

In the 1990s, Glukhov transitioned to the field of investment funds, helping Russian companies navigate the shift from planned economy structures to market-based operations. In this role, he was responsible for evaluating the financial and economic landscapes of these companies and crafting strategies to enhance their overall performance through the implementation of modern management techniques. Glukhov held positions at Sector Capital, Interros and Onexim during this period.

Throughout the 1990s, Glukhov also took on leadership roles in several prominent Russian consulting firms. In 2003, he developed an interest in Six Sigma methodologies and completed a Six Sigma Black Belt course at Moresteam University. He received certification from ASQ (American Society for Quality) and subsequently founded the Russian Six Sigma Association in 2004 to promote the adoption of Six Sigma practices within the Russian economy and public administration sector. Since 2012, he has achieved the designation of Master Black Belt (ASSR).

Over the years, Glukhov has collaborated with colleagues on numerous Six Sigma implementations at major Russian enterprises and international companies operating in Russia, including Gazprom, Lukoil, and Gazprom Neft. His expertise and experience have been instrumental in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement within these organizations.
