Öner Tank

Öner TANK, who graduated from Sakarya University, Industrial Engineering department in 2002, started his career as a Quality Engineer in the same year and led ISO 9001, 14001, TS16949, Q1 and Toyota Production System certification processes in 2 different companies during 5 year period.

During this period, he completed his master’s degree in Industrial Engineering at Istanbul University in 2005 and then in the Sabancı University Executive-MBA program in January 2016.

In 2015, he studied Change Management and Entrepreneurship at MIT Sloan School of Management, and Finance and Supply Chain at Cranfield School of Management.

In 2007, he began to work as a Project Manager in Wingroup which is a Switzerland based aluminium construction company, when their Swedish factory was closed and production was moved to Turkey. He held the roles of Production Engineering and Production Management respectively right after the production transfer.

When the production transfer was completed in 2011, the group decided to restructure. During this period, he made great contributions to the top management of the company in the fields of strategic design, renewal of the ERP infrastructure and implementation of these changes.

At Wingroup, where he worked, Lean Six Sigma Initiative for Continuous Improvement and Cultural Change was adopted by group management and planned to be deployed throughout the company. Öner’s new role has been the “Lean Six Sigma Champion”, which he was responsible for deployment from start to finish.

During his time at Alimex (Wingroup), he led many successful Black Belt projects, and during this time he developed solutions to many chronic problems of the company. During the same period, he successfully managed Business Process Re-Engineering study that related to many processes.

He established the S&OP system between 6 sales companies abroad and the production site Alimex, structured the Supply Chain Organization and managed the ERP infrastructure until the day he left.

In 2016, he joined Matris Consultants to share his international knowledge and experience with companies that seeking Operational Excellence. As a Master Black Belt, he is a BPRe-Engineering consultant as well as training and consulting roles in Lean Six Sigma, Lean Production and TPM.
